    Service is very slow and unorganized. The queue was only 2 people and we waited almost half an hour as only one person was serving. Upon reaching the parking it turned out that there were no documents in the car!!! I asked the woman from Budget/Avis, who was at the car park collecting keys, where the papers are and she said that she doesn't know and she can only give me the 'incident form'. She started to wave her hands and said that she was not familiar with the papers and she didn't' know anything because she's only checking cars after returning here and nothing else. She eventually tried to call the office but no one answered and she said that if I want documents I can go back to the office and pick them up. There were 4 employees around and they looked at the whole thing. Why would we go back to the office (quite a walk!) and get the necessary documents while staff is chatting? Frustrated, we decided to change the car renting company and we started taking out the luggage. This woman approached us and checked what was going on. I told her that they are 4 of them doing nothing and we are the ones who have to take care of their responsibilities. She immediately began to alleviate the situation, one employee got into the car and drove to the office, and the rest split. We spent more than an hour before we left the airport. Service at this airport is awful. This was the first and last time we used Budget / Avis ...

    Forgot a bag inside the car when we gave back the car. Half an hour later, the car was clean and oh! Surprise no one from Avis/ Budget had seen the bag while we are 100% sure it was there... so we are very unhappy about this service. It is very easy for them to do that when they know that your flight is just a few hours later and you will be far away the day after... not recommended

    Awful and slow. Arrived & joined queue at 18:45 - queue was about 30 people long. All other car hire firms never had more than a few people waiting.

    Staff had no idea how to manage the queue or prioritise as wasting so many people's time. Some customers took over 15mins to get keys. I took 5mins - booking number, passport, driving license, credit card, done.

    Others wasted time arranging keys, on computer at back of office​​, on phone, using calculator, or chatting & inefficiently processing customers.

    When booking through Ryanair, Avis/Budget appear to be cheapest, but it is a lie. They add 19€ to the bill. This is explained and hidden in "Fuel Policy". Sixt is not trying to steal money this way. Avoid Avis/Budget on Gran Canaria!

    Had a good experience with Avis. Although they had the longest queue of all rental companies, the waiting wasn't too long. The staff was efficient and friendly. Got a brand new car.
